You Are What You Think
Your thoughts are seeds. Becoming aware of what you consistently allow into your mind is the first step toward freedom.
Have you ever stopped to notice how quickly a single thought can change your entire mood? One memory, one worry, one doubt, and suddenly your whole outlook shifts. That is not a coincidence. Your thoughts are seeds. Whatever you consistently plant in your mind will eventually grow into the life you are living. Proverbs 23:7 puts it plainly. You are not simply what you do. You are what you think. God designed you this way, and that means your thought life is one of the most important things you will ever steward. This is actually good news. If your thoughts have the power to pull you down, they also have the power to lift you up. You are not stuck. The patterns in your mind can change, and that change begins the moment you decide to pay attention to what you are actually thinking. Start today by simply becoming aware. Notice the thoughts that replay most often. Are they rooted in fear or faith? Regret or hope? You do not have to fix everything at once. Just begin to observe, because awareness is always the first step toward freedom. God is not distant from your thought life. He cares deeply about what is happening inside your mind, and He has given you everything you need to take back that ground. Bible Verse "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." - Proverbs 23:7 (New King James Version (NKJV)) Reflection Question If the thoughts you have most often became the life you lived, what kind of life would that produce? Quote "Focus on what you think. Become mindful of what you're thinking about." Prayer Lord, open my eyes to the thoughts I have been allowing to take root in my mind. Give me the courage to be honest about what I find, and the faith to believe that change is possible. Amen.
