The Real Power of the Blood
The blood of Jesus purchased forgiveness and rescued us from judgment—the greatest miracle any person can receive.
There are questions many of us carry quietly, afraid of what the answers might reveal. One of the most common involves the blood of Jesus. You may have grown up hearing that you should plead the blood over your car, your home, your finances, or your pets. It feels spiritual. It feels protective. But when we go back to Scripture, we find something even more powerful than we imagined. In Exodus 12, the blood on the doorposts was not about keeping sickness away or preventing theft. It was about one thing: escaping the judgment of God. That same truth carries forward into the New Testament. The blood of Jesus was shed so that you and I could be forgiven, fully and completely, and rescued from the wrath we deserved. That is not a small thing. That is everything. When we reduce the blood of Jesus to a spiritual tool for everyday protection, we actually diminish how extraordinary it truly is. The forgiveness of sins is the greatest miracle any human being can receive. You were separated from God, and the blood of Jesus brought you back.
