Know What You Believe and Why
A faith tested against Scripture grows clearer and stronger, guarding the mind against confusion, assumption, and deception.
Not every spiritual experience is what it appears to be. This is a truth that requires humility, because many of us have built parts of our faith around practices or beliefs that we never stopped to examine carefully. Speaking in tongues is a genuine gift of the Holy Spirit. But it is a language, not a chant. It has variety and structure. If the same phrase has been repeated for years without change, that is worth pausing to consider. Likewise, demons are not fallen angels. They operate in the realm of the soul, targeting the mind, the will, and the emotions. Understanding this helps you recognize where the real battle is being fought. None of this is meant to shake your faith. It is meant to strengthen it. A faith built on clear biblical understanding is far more stable than one built on tradition or assumption. God is not threatened by your questions. He is not distant or difficult to know. He gave us Scripture precisely so that we could understand who He is and how He works. The more you know His Word, the harder it becomes for confusion or deception to take root. Keep asking questions. Keep going back to Scripture. A faith that has been tested and examined is a faith that will hold when life gets hard. Quote "Tongues is a heavenly language. Listen to the word language. It is not a chant. If you've been speaking in tongues for your entire life and you're saying one line, you are now chanting. Stop it. Stop it. It's demonic." Prayer Lord, give me a love for Your Word and the courage to build my faith on truth rather than tradition. Protect my mind from deception and help me to know You more clearly every day. Amen.
